I’m a retired Oxford University telecoms manager who started working life as a biologist. Or am I a biologist who became a telecoms manager – retired? Either way my real, undying interest has been railways, full size (especially the Ffestiniog, on which I was a deviationist for many years) and model. This blog is unashamedly mostly about building model railways, a wonderful, all-embracing hobby.
Later I might expand on my love of music and singing, as since the age of eight I have been in one choir or other, or mainly more than one…
I might also eventually write about my family, especially my late wife, Anne and the four brilliant children we reared, and my still new wife, Betsy, and her beloveds – but not yet!
Nice to see Clecklewyke is still going!
Even nicer to see that you are going strong!! How’s things?
Just discovered your website.
The reference to Digital Crispin clinched it!
We were in touch about the time of Anne’s death however I lost touch about that point.
Interesting to see how things have developed for BNW
I am off home to read all the printouts I have of the site so maybe some more questions later

Down-under
I am the new exhibition manager for the Cardiff show and I would like some information on Clecklewyde with regards to having it at the Cardiff exhibition. I look forward to hearing from you.
Regards,
Tom.
Thomas,
I have only just rediscovered your comment about Clecklewyke. I had been trying to get some response from the Cardiff Club but had lost your details until now. I am afraid that Clecklewyke is not currently available for exhibition as it is being modified for incorporation into the Bradford North Western Branch by havng a rather large viaduct tacked on to its left hand end. Then I will extend the right hand of the station. I hope it will be available in its enlarged form in a couple of years (Scalefour North 2012 is the target).
In the mean time both Royston Vasey or Humber Dock are available: both are exhibitable by a team of two (one on, one off) take up two table lengths, say 12 ft., and are transportable in my car.
